Minute to Win It Challenge June 25, 2013 – Posted in: Family, Giveaways

This was probably the most fun post I’ve ever done! Minute to Win It has always been one of my favorite game shows to watch and getting my girls and nieces to do the challenges was exciting, great exercise, and a fun to way keep them all entertained during a hot summer day. I looked through the provided list and thought we wouldn’t be able to do a lot of the challenges since I was working with younger children (and didn’t want to challenge them to something they’d have a lot of trouble doing) but we ended up with a list of great things to try. And boy did they have a BLAST!!

We played 10 games total, split up among the 4 girls. The nice thing is most of the games could easily be played more than once, so if someone else wanted to try, we could do it as many times as we needed.

The 10 we chose were:
Buckethead
Hanky Panky
Baby Rattle
Nose Dive
Noodling Around
Junk in the Trunk
Elephant March
Penny Hose
Breakfast Scramble
Separation Anxiety

This was a HOOT! The kids laughed and cheered and wore themselves out (every Mom’s dream, right?!) trying to outdo each other with each challenge. I was so proud to see them dive in and commit to whatever I asked and to have such a wonderful time together in the process. In no particular order, these were some of our favorite games.

The Breakfast Scramble was fun for them all. We’re a family of puzzle lovers and the girls dove into this one, racing to finish it. Sew Like My Mom | Minute to Win It

The Nose Dive was a huge laugh and one the older girls were familiar with from school.

And one figured it was easier to capture as many as once on her nose instead of doing them one by one.

I only had 1 box of tissues so my oldest niece won the honor of trying Hanky Panky. And boy did she go for it!

Even when she dropped the box on the ground, she never skipped a beat!

The very favorite of the day was the Junk in the Trunk.

I even got some great videos of the girls shaking it as hard as they could to get the ping pong balls out.

We will definitely be playing that game more this summer! My girls were exceptionally good at it! The Elephant March was also a big hit among the kids, and they cracked me up with the panty hose on their heads!

And lastly, the Baby Rattle challenged them all while sweat rolled down their hot faces!

All in all, it took us about an hour and a half for everyone to play all the games. It was a wonderful way to pass the afternoon and they’ve all been asking us to play again!
