My super awesome friend Jess has released her very first ever sewing pattern! I’m so so happy for her and very excited to be included on her first ever blog tour. These are the Bottoms Up Pants!

Jess is a cloth diaper Mama and wanted a great pattern for bottoms that allowed ample room for those precious cloth diapers. There aren’t too many out there yet, so she created one of her own, and I’m a fan! I think Ollie is, too.

I don’t have many pants for Ollie because he’s so tiny! We’re a month away from his second birthday but he weighs just 22.5 pounds and can wear a 12m onesie with 18m pants. Shrimpy McShrimperson. The overwhelming majority of RTW pants fall to his ankles or are huge in all the wrong places. I’ve got tons of adorable tops all waiting for the perfect pants and the Bottoms Up Pants are the perfect pair!

I added humongo pockets to the back of the pants because Ollie’s a pocket guy. The bigger the better in his mind, so I obliged. The pattern comes with an optional faux welt pocket but we opted for the real thing.

But that front pocket, it’s a cute one! The pattern comes with 2 front pocket options, one like this and one with a bow for the ladies. It also boasts a flat front and ample room in the rear. Just adorable!
