Adventure Tee July 19, 2014 – Posted in: Pattern, Sewing
I’m not sure I’ll ever get tired of sewing for Ollie. I definitely enjoy all the girly outfits, don’t get me wrong, but sewing for this stud is always enjoyable. Maybe it’s because the pieces always go together quickly (and I never have to ruffle or gather anything!) or maybe it’s because I adore the print mixing on him. Whatever it is, I hope it doesn’t stop anytime soon.
This is the Adventure Tee from GoTo Patterns and was just released with the latest Pattern Anthology Make Believe collection!
The Adventure Tee will definitely be a staple in Ollie’s wardrobe. I adore everything about this shirt! It’s a great little unisex tee that’s got so many options, and is seriously so, so easy to make.
I made the 18m size because he’s square between the 12 and 18 month sizes. I knew it wouldn’t be huge on him, so I made the bigger size for longer wear and I’m so glad I did! I used some blue on blue stripe knit I’ve been hoarding in my stash since before he was conceived. It’s crazy soft and is such a great color on him. We’ll be layering this bad boy when the weather cools off for sure!
I’m a huge fan of Andrea’s patterns. From start to finish they’re such a professional, easy experience. Printing is fast, the pattern pieces go together like a dream, the instructions are spot-on, easy to follow, and packed full of helpful tips! I know I’m always going to have a good time sewing her patterns, and the Adventure Tee is no different.
I know I’ve gone on Ollie picture overload, but I just totally adore this age. And seriously–elbow dimples. Is there anything better?!
I paired his tee with my Oakley shorts sans pockets. I really still completely love the cut and fit of these shorts. They’re so great, and I’m not just saying that because they’re my pattern! I mean, look at that bum! I wish I looked that good from behind.
You should definitely go grab these patterns while you can get them bundled! I promise, this tee delivers in every possible way. Check out the Pattern Anthology website for all the details.
