baby photographer? October 2, 2011 – Posted in: Family
If you’ve been reading my blog for any amount of time, you might have noticed that I hate to pay for things I can do myself. Cue my attempt at being a professional baby photographer! I tried my hand at it when Chloe was born and got semi-decent results. This time I wanted to do a better job, so I read up on some tips and did some crocheting and anxiously waited for Ella to come.

I tried to do one of those super cute chin-balanced-in-the-hands pose that’s all the rage these days. But she just was NOT going to cooperate! I thought this was hilarious anyway!

By the time we got to the basket, she was done cooperating. I think I snapped about 6 shots before her eyes popped open, she peed on the blankets, then screamed. We’ll try again for a few more shots in the next day or two, but for now I’m content to sit around snuggling with her and breathing in her sweet perfection.

I just googled it! Found some blogs, watched some videos on YouTube, and spent a lot of time browsing photography websites for ideas.

Great pictures and a sweet girl! My photographer did the cute hand shot but she photo shops. She had me hold the top of her head while she did the hands and then I supported her hands. I don’t know that any little baby could hold her own head. So maybe you can get creative somehow! 🙂 Love what you got though!

Your photos look just as good as the ones we paid a fortune for! And our photographer did the chin prop shot, but it was two photographs photoshopped together. Congratulations!

Thank you for all your sweet comments. I understand a lot of the head in hands poses are photoshopped, but I lacked another pair of hands! A lot of photogs are able to get the babies to hold it themselves so in the absence of help, I did what I could. 🙂

Hah, I’m due any day (was that a contraction?? Sigh… no) and I would love to take some pics of my new boy. I’ll have to read up. I’m not very comfy with our fancy camera that my MIL gave us for our wedding, but you’ve inspired me to try!
