Bundle UP Women’s Patterns May 2, 2015 – Posted in: Pattern, Reviews, Sewing
I love doing these Bundle UP sales! I get to try awesome new patterns before they hit the market and they never disappoint. In this case, I’ve got a new favorite!
I’m not the kind to make the same pattern over and over, but I’m completely in love with this pattern! The Jocole Shift Dress comes in dress or tunic length. Since I’ve been pregnant, nursing, and chasing kids for years I don’t wear many dresses anymore, but the tunic caught my eye and I fell hard.
It’s SO flattering!! And soooooo easy to make. Give me a yard of fabric, a zipper and some single fold bias tape and in an hour I’ve got a perfectly fitting, adorable new top! Who can beat that?!
I did have to do a full bust adjustment to this pattern. I’ve avoided sewing for myself for years because I needed to add this crucial step to my routine. I recently mastered the FBA and embraced the inevitable need for a muslin or 3 and I’m so happy I did because I get to have these amazing tunics as a result!
I do think the 22″ zipper is a little overkill for the tunic, so I’ve ordered some of those gorgeous exposed zippers to make my next round of tunics. Pretty soon I’ll have a closet full of these babies!
My 6 year old was my photographer for this shoot so she styled a few of the shots. But I think they accurately represent how I feel about the Jocole Shift Dress tunic!! (and explains why my head is cut off in so many shots)
I’ve also worn them in real life already!! I made these before SNAP (post coming soon) and wore them while I was there. They were comfortable, traveled well, and were a hit. Lisa from Mabey She Made It even recognized the pattern and asked if I was doing the bundle tour!
Adrianna from Crafterhours and Hey June was my awesome roommate and we had fun in the Router Limits sponsor booth!
And on my way to lunch with Dana, Adrianna, and Jessica.
So are YOU ready to Bundle UP and add this amazing pattern to your collection?! I promise you, it does not disappoint!!
The sale lasts from now through May 8th, so hurry over and grab yours now! Head to the Bundle UP sale site for more info!

Oooh, I love it! The blue one, especially – it’s so flattering. I might have to put it on my own to-do list.
