Casual Lady Tee October 22, 2013 – Posted in: Sewing
I was lucky enough to try the Casual Lady by Go To Patterns. Let me say, I LOVE this shirt!
And I promise, I’m not just saying that. This comfy, casual tee was a breeze to put together and is highly flattering! It was also extremely easy to alter to fit me. I’m well endowed and often by the time I get the bust big enough, the rest is swimming on me. But not the Casual Lady! She’s perfect!
I’d wanted to make the dress originally, but since I’m still nursing Ollie, I stuck with the top. I can’t wait to make about 30 of these to fill my closet! They’ll be a perfect layering tee for the colder winter months and can carry me right through Spring to warmer weather.
I’ve always been intimidated by knits, but this really was an easy sew. The pieces matched perfectly, the lines are flattering, and I was even able to match my stripes up on my shoulder seams! Not too shabby for my first ever wearable knit garment!
I don’t think I can say enough positive things about this pattern. Andrea hit a home run with this picky girl! Swing by The Train to Crazy to see all the other great patterns on tour!

And in case you’re wondering why I’m not standing in any of my photos, it’s because Sofie took them and like most 5 year olds, she’s pretty short! She was a fantastic photographer when taking the shots I asked her to take, but when I let her pose me, they looked more like this:
And she looked like this:

Ha ha ha – nice model on last pictures. I’m always intimidated by any knits but I like this lady tee – it’s not an usual t-shirt, it’s more elegant and
versatile – will look great with jeans but also wit elegant skirt.
