Easter fury May 27, 2010 – Posted in: Family, Sewing
Easter crept up on me this year. It couldn’t have come at a more inconvenient time as we’d just moved a week and a half before, and our second baby was due 2 days later. I woke up Easter morning upset with myself for not having found the time to make Sofie an Easter dress. (Hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman with an idea!) I decided I had 3 hours before 19 of my family members descended on our house for an Easter feast and that was plenty of time to make her a dress! (WHAT was I thinking?!) I grabbed a few pieces of scrap paper, a ruler, and my stash of Nicey Jane.
I couldn’t believe how quickly and easily this little number came together. I absolutely adore it! It fits like a dream and I’m quite proud of the work I can accomplish under maddening stress. In fact, I finished with time left over and made myself a skirt for the day, too!
I had to bribe my model…
