Kudzu Coveralls & Dress pattern December 6, 2013 – Posted in: Pattern
Well, it’s here! I’m finally releasing my third pattern and I couldn’t be more excited about this one!
The Kudzu has been swirling around in my mind for months and when I found out about the Designer’s Challenge posed by many PDF pattern designers, I just knew this would be my challenge pattern. And what a challenge it became!
When I had Ollie I was suddenly very aware of the lack of patterns out there for sibling outfits. I wanted to create something that was a unique shape and style, but was also unisex, highly customizable, could be worn in any season, and was fast to sew together. And guess what! I did it. And I’m in love.
I really adore the coverall on my little guy. It’s roomy enough for him to crawl around and is comfortable for him. The coverall comes with 2 inseam options–snaps for the diaper babies, and sewn for the bigger kids.
I made lots of versions while deciding exactly what I wanted in this pattern. It’s FULL of options!
I’m convinced I can teach the world to applique so I included 2 little faces with a special animal head bodice for this pattern. It was a challenge designing the shape and proportion of the bodice but it was so worth it!
The real beauty in this process is turning it over to the testers and seeing their versions of my vision come to life! I always get giddy when they start returning pictures and this round of testers certainly didn’t disappoint!
I still can’t believe all these looks came from just one pattern! Can you believe it?! Totally adorable.
And as a special intro price for the challenge, I’m offering it at $5.50! I’ll keep it at that price for 24 hours, so hurry!!
