Romper Week June 17, 2014 – Posted in: Pattern, Sewing
I’ve been so excited about this post for romper week! I’ve been wanting to make my Kudzu coveralls into a short romper since I designed them. I ADORE the results! Ollie lived in the pairs I made him last winter and since they’re basically all he wears, I know he’ll get lots of wear from these, too.
I spotted this fabric in JoAnn’s and immediately knew I wanted to use it to try the short version of the Kudzu coverall. And I’m wild about the way the steely grey-blue of the background perfectly matches his incredible eyes.
I can’t believe my little sweetie is 16 months old now! He’s growing and changing so fast, and I’m trying to soak up every minute I get with him. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll like him in rompers, so I’m taking full advantage now, while he has no opinion!
Still one of my favorite things about the Kudzu is the dress option for perfect sibling outfits! Can you get over the preciousness of these two?!
Ella was overjoyed to have an outfit that matched her brother. She swirled and twirled in her dress, talking about how they had the same stars and how pretty it was.
Rompers on a precious babe, how can you go wrong? I’m so happy with how this turned out and I’ve decided to update my pattern! It’s not ready yet, but will be coming soon with the short option. Can’t wait!!
Thanks for having me for Romper Week, RaeAnna! I hope you’ll all go check out the amazing bloggers (my dear, sweet friend Jess is posting today, too!) and enter the giveaway for some sweet prizes!
