I prefer cotton as I’m still a beginner I feel it’s easier and the finishings are nicer but I increasingly appreciate knits to sew for my 2 years old boy! I prefer colourful printed knits I prefer blue and green for my boy! 🙂
Thanks!!!!!!!!! Regards from France,
Isabel

Elizabeth Penkert August 23, 2014 - 07:12
I love cottons! Florals, small stripes, pretty much all of it! Blues, purples, the gemstone colors—deep rich colors are my favorites. But greys, black and browns are pretty awesome too!!!
Irene August 23, 2014 - 07:12

Jess Musumarra August 23, 2014 - 07:22
I hate sewing the costume satin, messy, makes me sneezy & a little bit crazy! I’m on a bit knit sewing kick, like the medium weight best. Would love a print to use for me, a nice floral with some blues.
Jodie August 23, 2014 - 07:25
Wow, awesome contest – thankyou!
BJMarley August 23, 2014 - 07:29
I have eclectic fabric tastes. The hand of the fabric is the most important. Prints are ok as long as they aren’t ugly. Blues are my favorite.
Mary Beth Reser August 23, 2014 - 07:34
I like vintagey looking cottons, and smaller repetitive prints!
kandace August 23, 2014 - 07:36

Kendra C August 23, 2014 - 07:43
I like almost every color but with 3 little girls I tend to stay away from black and brown and gray.
Melynda Yates August 23, 2014 - 07:44
I love working with cottons. I am trying to branch out into knits but haven’t yet worked much with them. Obsessed with quatrefoil right now…..love it! I adore most prints, and loveto see my little girl in pinks, tturquoise, lime greens and yellows. I have a new baby boy so I guess I’d better start using boy fabric soon. 🙂
Marika Percival August 23, 2014 - 07:44
This sounds like a fantastic prize, and fun at the same time 🙂 If I were to win I would love cottons, I am just experimenting with knits so would still be excited by them also. I only have a little daughter to sew for. As for patterns and prints I love geometric prints and classics like plaids and polka dots. Paisley and random placed prints are not to my liking. It is quite interesting to put into words my fabric preferences, makes me think more about it 🙂
Thanks for giving me the opportunity.
kristi r August 23, 2014 - 07:45

Dawn B August 23, 2014 - 08:22

Tammy August 23, 2014 - 08:53
I’m not terribly picky but I do like the fabric to feel nice. If it’s stiff I won’t use it.
Jennifer Severson August 23, 2014 - 08:54

Karen Fuhrman August 23, 2014 - 08:55
Cottons and cotton knits. I really can’t say there is a color I don’t like. I love them all and sew with them all. I do love pastels but ever pastel color catches my eye.
Susan August 23, 2014 - 08:55
I usually go for quilting cottons, liberty of London being one of my absolute favorites, but I have recently decided that I need to make adorable baby clothes for my eight week old, so I’m starting to dabble with knits. Loving coral and lilac right now!

Joyce August 23, 2014 - 09:38
Lately I like solids, especially colors that remind me of the sea. I don’t like dark floral patterns, not crazy about batiks but they’re growing on me. Do love any Civil War reproduction fabrics. And japanese linens…yum!
Raina DelRio August 23, 2014 - 09:38
I am terrified of knits. I don’t like a lot of pastel colors in fabrics either
jennifer August 23, 2014 - 09:40
I hope I didn’t already leave this comment…not sure it was recorded the first time. But I love BLUE! And I love knits. I’ve been sewing for my three boys, the oldest of which LOVES YELLOW! So blue and yellow knits. And I love gray, too.
Lara August 23, 2014 - 09:41
I’ve only ever really used cottons. Trying to stretch and attempt knit soon…
Kayla O. August 23, 2014 - 09:48
Totally over chevrons. I think polka dots are classic. And pink is always a winner!
Michelle August 23, 2014 - 09:53
I love fabric, period. Still trying to tackle knits to I’m trying to use interlock since that’s supposed to be a beginner knit.
Katheryn Mehta August 23, 2014 - 09:53
I love quirky prints – cotton and knits, but no characters.
Cyndi C August 23, 2014 - 09:55
Would love to win this! Love your patterns!
elizabeth August 23, 2014 - 09:56
Awesome opportunity to win a great prize. I love children’s fabric, knits and prints. I don’t like that there’s so few designs/fabrics for boys. I have 2 grandsons and love to sew for them.
Charity Ivicsics August 23, 2014 - 10:01

michelle August 23, 2014 - 10:52
thank you for the chance to win. I like knits as they are so comfortable for clothing. And of course, cottons for quilting!
Michelle
Shanna August 23, 2014 - 10:54
I love sewing with quilting cottons because of the variety, availability and the prices…especially the prices (though I’m dying to try more expensive fabrics for garments, like lawn and voile). I also love chambrays and knits! I like pretty florals, rich solids, anything with birds, and “hip, modern” kids prints, but hate the cheesy kid stuff!
michelle frain August 23, 2014 - 10:54
I love knits best I love the soft flowing nature of the cloth
Michelle B August 23, 2014 - 10:56
I like bright colors for my grand daughter but I like more earthy colors for myself. I love batiks they are so full of color and every one is different. I am not fond of super slick fabrics.
fenna August 23, 2014 - 11:12
I like cottons or knits but not very childish prints. Plus, I’m not a huge fan of character/Disney prints. And, I’m pretty open to most colors 🙂
Sue D. August 23, 2014 - 11:13
I am just returning to sewing knits and am amazed at the wonderful choices.
Ann M August 23, 2014 - 11:15

Kathy E. August 23, 2014 - 11:18
I prefer sewing with cottons, but have trying out knits and so far, so good! My colors are mostly pinks, purples, lime green, yellows. Not a fan of blue, dark green and browns for some reason. I like happy colors!
Tonia Jeffery August 23, 2014 - 11:28
I really like muted and subdued. I tend to shy away from bright brights, reds and oranges.
Stacy August 23, 2014 - 11:30
I prefer working with woven fabrics but I’m getting better with knits and don’t have nearly as many knits in my stash. Pink is my favorite color and I love florals, chevrons, and pretty much everything, lol 🙂
Kristy August 23, 2014 - 11:30
I love bright, cheerful fabrics….I struggle with how to best use large florals.
Jolien August 23, 2014 - 11:31
I love teal and for me purple as well. Cottons have such fun prints (I cannot resist flowers), but knits are so much more comfy for clothes sewing. For me and for my boys…
Thanks for the giveaway!
Melissa August 23, 2014 - 11:38
Your patterns are so cute!
Tania August 23, 2014 - 11:41

Julie August 23, 2014 - 11:57
I am not a fan of valour, it is awful. Although Ive seen nice things made out of corduroy, that as well is not a favourite. I love quilting cottons because I love the variety you can get with all the different patterns. I really love knits though as well!
Marran P August 23, 2014 - 12:07
I work with a wide range of fabrics, but I find myself gravitating towards fleece more than any other fabric. I love making cuddly blankets and teddy bears out of wild prints and bright colors.
Ashley August 23, 2014 - 12:08
It depends on what I’m using it for, but for quilting I’m mostly drawn to neutrals or lighter colours, and earthier or more nature-inspired designs, and for clothing, I tend to like flowy fabrics with patterns!
Vicki F. August 23, 2014 - 12:10
I love sewing knits. I remember when they were the brand new “in” thing. I like colors that are not too bright and garish, but I don’t care for muddy colors, either. And it dependson the project. A little girl’s dress will take brighter colors than one for me, or a quilt.
tone August 23, 2014 - 12:14
I love both cotton and knit. I usually don’t pick out earth tones.
Vanessa B August 23, 2014 - 12:16
Batiks and Jersey…never have been a fan of either. Well, I like to wear knits I don’t enjoy sewing with them, lol! Thank You!!!

Jennifer H. August 23, 2014 - 12:27

Morland August 23, 2014 - 12:29
What a fun day this is with all these give aways
Heather August 23, 2014 - 12:32
I love fabrics that are suitable for boys. Bright, fun colors. Boy fabrics can be harder to come by.
amber August 23, 2014 - 12:35
While knits are my favorite fabrics, they can also be my least favorite to work with– especially in the case of thin knits whose edges like to curl. As far as prints and colors, anything goes.
Ramona August 23, 2014 - 12:36
What a wonderful giveaway. I love knits and cottons and linen/linen blends. I generally prefer brighter colors but love almost anything but brown and mustard yellow if it is in a background.
ShelleyG August 23, 2014 - 12:39
I always gravitate toward women’s, but really want to do more with knits but always have a hard time finding prints I like.
Cecilia August 23, 2014 - 12:42

Kym Gentle August 23, 2014 - 13:13

i usually sew with cotton fabrics. Sometimes in one color, sometimes with prints…… it depents on the project…….. 😉
Ashlee Lopez August 23, 2014 - 13:16
Well, I’ve pretty much only ever worked with cotton. I’m too chicken to work with anything else, but one day I would really love to conquer knits at the very least!
I don’t really have any colors that I HATE. I mean obviously ucky looking yellows, greens, browns, etc. But for the most part I think that if you’ve got the right color combos, almost anything works!
taryn August 23, 2014 - 13:16
I love bright happy colors!
Vanessa Jousma August 23, 2014 - 13:16
I Love Cotton! Woven or knits.

melissa coon August 23, 2014 - 13:36
I sew for my two year old girl and I love it when I can find fabric that is not traditional in color or design. I have fostered 10 girls in the last 5 years and I am really tired of pink and purple. 🙂 I usually use cotton.
Shana August 23, 2014 - 13:36
I like plain fabric or fabric with simple, clean patterns. I find ornate, busy fabric with patterns to be dreadful.
Juanita August 23, 2014 - 13:40
Excellent giveaway!!
stephanie August 23, 2014 - 14:01

I seem to always have at least one polka dot fabric in everything I make. I really don’t like Southwestern prints, which is odd, since I like in the Southwest!
Secret Burkheiser August 23, 2014 - 14:53
I love polka dots and bright patterns! Not a huge fan of earthy tones.
Char August 23, 2014 - 14:55

Such lovely patterns
Emily August 23, 2014 - 14:59
Love voile. Can’t stand pilly knits.
Michele T August 23, 2014 - 15:08
I love cotton fabric!!! My colours are blues, purples, greens, reds, and variations of them! I like fabric with prints on a small scale. Colours that I just do not like are orange, yellow, and brown. Thanks for the chance!!
Donna Lee August 23, 2014 - 15:08
I like good quality cottons, am a bit scared of knits, like florals, but not too big, and I’m not crazy about grey or mustard :).
Theresa August 23, 2014 - 15:11
I love cottons & just now learning to work with knits ( scary). I love blues, purples, reds; However, I am loving all the Fall Colored material right now.
Sheri Fowler August 23, 2014 - 15:26
I love pinks and purples and despise blues…..but everyone wants me to use blue for them so I’ve been stretching my skills….ugh!
erica August 23, 2014 - 15:33
I love cottons and knits, patterned and plain. I sew a bunch for my kids, so we get fun stuff.
Rachel August 23, 2014 - 15:38
I’ve recently gotten into sewing with voile and rayon challis, very dreamy to work with! I am not very good yet with knits, but I would like to be, so I’m working on that too. I love shades of orange and blue.
Jess Z August 23, 2014 - 15:39
I love all except for neons and bright orange and purple prints. Otherwise, I can generally find a project I’d love for most fabrics pretty easily. 🙂
Libby August 23, 2014 - 15:39
I’m an absolute sucker for any fabric that has a print within a print. For instance, if it has big elephants on it, and the elephants are in polka dots, or swirls – ohh man. I love that faux-appliquey look.
Alison August 23, 2014 - 15:45
I like pretty much any fabric – with 3 girls and a boy to sew for (plus other family members) pretty much anything can be made to work 🙂
hwn222 August 23, 2014 - 15:49
I love tiny geometric patterns… polka dots, squiggles, diamonds, batik. I wear all the jewel tones and I’ve been learning to sew for myself and my daughter.
Amber August 23, 2014 - 15:51
I love linen of all kinds, wood print fabrics, and grey and blue colors. Geometric prints are also great. I love Lotta Jansdotter type designs for example.
Melissa August 23, 2014 - 15:54
I love simple prints and solids.
Kate August 23, 2014 - 15:56
I love knit fabric, we have such a poor selection where i live. But cottons are good too…bold colours, pastels and florals make me gag 🙂 geometric patterns are so in at the moment, nothing too cutesy my daughter is almost 5.
Gill August 23, 2014 - 15:58
I like cotton and linen. I love greens and blues and dislike brown!
Jody P August 23, 2014 - 16:02
Lately I love melon and aqua…I also love gray with everything! I don’t like really dark colors or cutesy prints…
Velda August 23, 2014 - 16:05
I am a cotton kind of girl. Love colorful fun prints. My least favorite color is brown, favorite color is any shade of purple. 🙂
Crystal Moreland August 23, 2014 - 16:15
I absolutely adore knits! Cottons are second on my list. Solids, stripes, bold/fun prints are wonderful, and I do love all colors – light, bright and dark. I am not a very big fan of florals, however.
Frances Suzanne August 23, 2014 - 16:15
Cotton is our preference, but we are working to better ourselves in the ‘knit’ department!! We tend to go with solid colors, paired with a small amount of coordinating fabric. We seldom sew with pink {although we only sew for girls!}….
Reese August 23, 2014 - 16:20
How fun! I want to sew some clothes for my baby son. I love everything you’ve made for Ollie! So, cotton-kid prints.
Amber L August 23, 2014 - 16:26
I love pink wovens and knits 🙂 My girl loves pink!
Amber L August 23, 2014 - 16:28

Marti August 23, 2014 - 16:28
I love cotton and linen fabric. I prefer geometric designs and bold, bright colors.
Tricia August 23, 2014 - 16:35
So happy to see some boy patterns! Hopefully some boy fabric too…cute stuff is hard to come by!
Rebecca August 23, 2014 - 16:45
I mainly sew with cottons at the moment, just due to the types of things I’m making, but I love knits as well. Right now we’re coming out of winter in Australia and I’m loving sewing with really bright vibrant colours, it just helps to clear away the winter cobwebs a little.
Gina August 23, 2014 - 16:50
I love knits! I generally lean toward funky and cool and stay away from florals…they give me the willies most of the time! :p
Erin Breneman August 23, 2014 - 16:59
Cotton and voile are fantastic! Colors, all of them…but my favorites are probably greens and greys!
Lisa August 23, 2014 - 17:02
I love Shwe-shwe. It’s a printed cotton fabric that comes in an array of bright colors:-) Cheap satin is the worst to sew:-(
Guida Anjos August 23, 2014 - 17:06
I usually sew for my daughter and her favorite colour is pink 😉
Cheryl August 23, 2014 - 17:22
Right now I am into 100% cotton fabrics for making little girl dresses and I seem to be hung up on bright colors — especially in the gold/orange family.
kim August 23, 2014 - 17:32
i love linen and chambray in any color!
Kylie Gersekowski August 23, 2014 - 17:36
Can’t stand poly but love beautiful linen.
Angela August 23, 2014 - 17:42
Love medium weight knits with Lycra, and lighter weight woven cottons. Not big on purple or hunter green in any fabric. Thanks for the chance.
Maria Luísa Santos August 23, 2014 - 17:42
Love floral cottons! Have a huge crush on them!
marjolein flick August 23, 2014 - 17:50

Beth August 23, 2014 - 17:56
I love blues and greens, cotton and linen. Not too big a fan of black or orange, but they have their place!
michelle muller August 23, 2014 - 18:00
Love pinks 🙂 hate fabrics that are cheep and fall apart. Love Camouflage fabrics.
Traci Lovelady August 23, 2014 - 18:09
Love bold, bright colors, can’t stand anything plain
Amber Gibson August 23, 2014 - 18:12

Christina S August 23, 2014 - 18:24
I am drawn to greens and blues. At least it works for both my kids. 😉
Lynne M August 23, 2014 - 18:30
I like knits with retro patterns in aqua, blues, greens, purples, or pinks. I like colors. 🙂
Abby August 23, 2014 - 18:31
I think I would have to say cotton, I’m still kind of experimenting with knits, and there are still lots of frightening aspects to them. I really just enjoy fabric, it makes me happy. Floral prints are fun, dots are always good to pair with something. Blues, greens, and oranges are pretty. (I think) And black/white can look sharp.
Holly August 23, 2014 - 18:32
I sew with cottons because I’m afraid of knits. My one and only experience ended up in the trash. I usually pick pinks and purples because I sew mostly for my 5 year old daughter. But my favorite color is blue.
Melissa J. August 23, 2014 - 18:51
I love all kinds of blue. I’ve recently started sewing with knits and I love it!
Melissa J. August 23, 2014 - 18:52
I love all shades of blue. I’ve recently started sewing with knits and I’m loving it!
Betty August 23, 2014 - 18:54
I’m loving knits at the moment, we usually have a love hate relationship since I’m still a beginner. I love bright and floral or cute designs on fabric and definitely stripes and spots 🙂
Peggy A. August 23, 2014 - 19:37
I like to work with bright knits or cottons. Thanks for the giveaway.
K August 23, 2014 - 19:39
I love colorful printed woven!! Girly colors are my thing.
Pam August 23, 2014 - 19:58
I love knits. My girls favourite colours are pink and purple, but any colour goes as long as it’s not brown or black! Not a fan of huge floral prints, but anything else is good
Jessica August 23, 2014 - 20:34
I mostly sew cottons but have been loving knits lately.
Gina Snyder August 23, 2014 - 20:45
Love anything girly, pink, and with flowers! Shabby Chic is my favorite style. Absolutely hate dull, drab colors!
Rachael August 23, 2014 - 20:49
I’m loving suiting fabrics right now. Cooler weather has me doing some fall sewing to bulk up my work wardrobe. I also love geometric and watercolor-ish prints.
Amanda M August 23, 2014 - 20:55
I tend to lean towards cottons, lots of quilting around here lately… I’d love to try my hand with some lighter cottons suitable for blouses. I love solids, and as far as prints go, I love bold/strong graphics. Trying to branch out and have recently added some fun florals to my stash 🙂
Sarah J. August 23, 2014 - 20:58
I am loving Aneela Hoey, Sarah Jane and Heather Ross– and working with several for a quilt for my daughter! Fun prints always make me happy- thanks for the chance to win!
Shanna @ Fiber of All Sorts August 23, 2014 - 21:01

I like bright colors sewing for children, do not like gray
Stephanie Slifer August 23, 2014 - 21:24
Love the colors!
Dana Miller August 23, 2014 - 21:32
I love girly fabrics right now. Not in to too boyish fabric as I don’t have any little boys to sew for.
Rachel August 23, 2014 - 21:32
I love cotton woven and knit… I cannot think of many colors or things that I don’t like on fabric… ummm, ok, I don’t like pinup girls and guys at all!
Barbara Bradford August 23, 2014 - 21:39
My first sewing class was knits, so I think I have always been partial to them. When it comes to cottons, I love all the colors, when it comes to the size of the pattern, I still have trouble working from larger prints.
Carlene Eby August 23, 2014 - 21:54
I love working with cottons. Not a big fan of huge prints.
Accacia August 23, 2014 - 22:02

Elizabeth August 23, 2014 - 22:26
I love cotton and knit fabric. Lately I’ve been experimenting with linen and different apparel fabrics. I love anything turquoise (print or solid).
Pam S August 23, 2014 - 23:04
I sew a lot for my four-year-old granddaughter, and she loves flowers and butterflies. I like to sew with cottons rather than knits. Thanks for the great giveaway and for your inspiring blog!
Kayla August 23, 2014 - 23:10
I love cottons and linens!! Any color or pattern, but I’m really into large flower prints and geometric prints (chevron, morrocan, etc.) with solid coordinates. I’m starting to transition into knits. I don’t hate them, but chiffons scare me a little lol! LOVE grays and mint right now with pops of yellow or coral. Not a big fan of red or orange, but it all depends on the project at hand 🙂
MarjoryW August 23, 2014 - 23:11
I like both cottons and knits in small prints, as I sew mostly for dolls. I like polka dots a lot and do not like paisley patterns. I don’t care for browns.
Darcy August 23, 2014 - 23:16
I love fun, bright, and modern knits or cottons for children’s clothing . Thanks for the giveaway! Fingers crossed!
Hannah E August 23, 2014 - 23:17
I like knit blends (they feel so good on the skin and wash up nicely) but started with a cotton gingham 20 years ago and will always love the lightweight. I’m currently sewing baby clothes in black/green zigzags with green/white polka dot details so…. I like quirky things? Yeah, I can use just about every fabric in any color/pattern you have.
Heidee August 23, 2014 - 23:31
I’m obsessed with knits right now. My girls both have blue eyes so I love blue fabric, but my favorite color is green, so I’m always drawn to anything with green. My mom had 5 children and an in-home daycare when I was growing up, so I too, am striving to sew like my mom. 🙂
GloriaW August 23, 2014 - 23:32
I really love the colorful, red, blue, yellow, turquoise. I like to see combinations of those colors with cute designs for my kids, fish, bicycles, birds, flowers. I love the color

I am such a beginner, I’m just happy to have any fabric at all!

I love knits, although they’re tricky. Stripes, florals, polka dots, love it all.
Emma Clark August 24, 2014 - 00:22
My stash is mostly quilting cottons in bright colours and girly prints. There isn’t many fabrics I don’t like- mainly just brown fabrics- they just don’t appeal to me as much.
Kimberly August 24, 2014 - 00:35
I love beautiful cotton prints. I am learning how to sew with knits but I haven’t gotten to a point where I enjoy the process yet. 🙂
Krista August 24, 2014 - 00:45
Like cottons not so fond of sheers like tulle and chiffon.
Lisa Hoffman August 24, 2014 - 01:00
I have started liking knits more lately. I always love anything with elephants on it.
Darcie August 24, 2014 - 01:15
I like all the fabric. OK, maybe not fuzzy or super slippery things, but I am an equal opportunity fabricoholic.
Laura August 24, 2014 - 01:29
Oh I love cottons, cotton knits but my favourite fabric that I have been sewing lots of lately is Viscose, both knit and woven LOVE!
Cecilia August 24, 2014 - 02:04
I cottons, but I am trying to learn how to work with mitts. I mostly like small flower prints and geometric prince. Personally I’m drawn to blues and oranges, but my 4 year old son likes me to make him things that are red and my 2 year old daughter loves when I sew for her in pink, purple, and green.
Audrey Bottine August 24, 2014 - 02:32
I like women’s but have branched into knits. I dislike but will sew on chiffon, it’s so slippery. I love all colors!
Sara Hampton August 24, 2014 - 03:38
I love vibrant colors and silky smooth textures. Love working with really nice cottons.
Rebecca August 24, 2014 - 03:50
Tend to use cottons mostly because they’re easiest to get hold of! Love interesting prints in purples and blues for me or pinks for my two little girls (what else, right?) But I would love to get to grips with knits, never tried before and slightly intimidated!
T A August 24, 2014 - 04:19
I’d love to work with knits more, only just starting with sewing this
Susan in OK August 24, 2014 - 04:38
I love fabric. Blue is my favorite color. I tend to buy more of that than anything else. I would be thrilled with any fabric to add to my collection. I sew primarily quilts now.
Barbara Orozco August 24, 2014 - 04:49
I love 100% cotton fabric and I dread poly knits. There aren’t any horrible colors in my book, just horrible prints. Thanks for the chance!
Pene Turner August 24, 2014 - 05:29
I love knits. The quirkier the print, the better.
But living in Australia, it might be a bit far to post

susan mitchell August 24, 2014 - 09:08

Jess M August 24, 2014 - 09:09
I really like knits and cotton. I am pretty good with all colors but solid white, it just wouldn’t survive in my house 🙂
shirley cree August 24, 2014 - 09:10
cottons, knits, non-brights, geometrics…..like……
polyester, large prints, neons…. not so much…..
but there are exceptions in every category…..
Emily August 24, 2014 - 09:18
Love – thin stripes, tiny florals, solids, paisley. Do not love – object prints (mustaches, bikes, etc.).
Jess August 24, 2014 - 09:26
I am a beginner so I’ve only used cottons. I love Heather Bailey fabrics, and have some for a project, but I’m scared to mess it up!
Lauren August 24, 2014 - 09:27
I adore myself a nice vibrant cotton! For a solid I prefer a bright or saturated color….but in a print (and I loooove prints) I really enjoy mixing different “types” of color…like lavender and red! Turquoise and brown! Navy and goldenrod!
Jessica H August 24, 2014 - 09:52
I have mostly cotton in my stash, but would love to find some great knits!
amy August 24, 2014 - 09:57

Kathy Davis August 24, 2014 - 10:04
I like all fabrics with cotton being my favorite. Don’t really like to sew on knit. I must do something wrong. I love all colors too except neon, when it comes to sewing.
Nathalie V August 24, 2014 - 10:16
I like cotton as a beginner. Most of the stuff I sew goes to my daughter who is totally in love with fairies, bunnies and other furry friends.
But u could challenge me with some knits 😉

I love novelty fabrics
Talina August 24, 2014 - 10:18

Thanks for the great giveaway!
Sheryle J Augustine August 24, 2014 - 10:20
I just sewed a bridesmaid dress and the lining fabric was so static-y that it stuck to me like glue. Hated it.
I love blues, teals – basically cool colors. I don’t care for warm colors except as accents.
jessica August 24, 2014 - 10:34
I love upcycling knits!
Bonnie August 24, 2014 - 10:39

I like bright whimsical patterns best and I really dislike muted fabrics such as tea dyed.

Susie August 24, 2014 - 18:12
I like plain-ish fabric with stripes, polka dots. No huge florals or geometrics. I’m looking for more patterned knits in my life.

Terri childres August 24, 2014 - 22:37

I prefer bright, happy colors. I’m partial to aqua, gray, corals, and am absolutely LOVING the new metallic polka dots! *squeal*
I pretty much hate ANYTHING that’s not a natural fabric, though, other than, like, tulle. Just sayin.
Deece August 25, 2014 - 03:25
Wow! Thank you for this great giveaway! While I get excited over nearly every type of print, I think I’m partial to florals.

I’m a beginner, so I definitely enjoy working with cotton. Although my first big sewing project, I made your nap mat cover, blanket and pillow, working with minky was a pain. But now that I’ve experienced it, I think I can probably handle it better next time. As for color, any girlie colors since I have a 4 1/2 y/o daughter. 😉
Jenna August 25, 2014 - 15:54
I have a little of everything in my stash!!
KJ August 25, 2014 - 16:41

Betsy August 25, 2014 - 20:18
I like cottons, and I (finally!) have a baby girl after 3 boys. I like the pink.
Barbara P. August 25, 2014 - 20:42
I love cottons and knits… florals are my favorite but I’m sure anything you choose will be great. You have awesome taste.
Leslie August 25, 2014 - 21:13
I like cottons and flannels. I prefer geometric designs or small, repetitive prints. I’m not a fan of large prints. What a great giveaway! 🙂
Jill August 25, 2014 - 21:22
I am loving knits right now as most the patterns for them are such a fast sew anything that is a fast sew with a 2 and 4 year old in the house is a winner in my book. I love all colors (pink,, purple, blues, greens and oranges etc..,) but my least favorite color is yellow.
Betty Ann August 25, 2014 - 21:38
I like cottons and in almost any color, although red, pink, purple and blues tend to be favorites–I have a 2 yo granddaughter and another to arrive soon to sew for. I don’t often use knits although I am game to try.
Melissa August 25, 2014 - 21:39
I really love jewel tones, bright colors that pop. I am not the biggest fan of call toned rusty colors but like maroon. I really don’t use solid as much as I should which is something I am working to remedy.
EmSewCrazy August 25, 2014 - 22:09
I love knits but like cottons too. Love reds hate yellows unless it it gold. Like florals and most prints… have a thing for stripes or polka dots, but who doesn’t love those. 🙂
Thanks for a lovely giveaway!
Kahiry chagoya August 25, 2014 - 22:22
I loooooove Heather Ross fabrics. Sweet, nostalgically magical and reminiscent of a childhood. Not a huge fan of floral prints, like Amy Butler style. Love all the colors. I’m pretty easy 🙂
Jessica Keating August 26, 2014 - 08:46
Knits and cottons are always great. I have three girls and a little boy, so pretty much anything works for somebody 🙂 I find I typically stick with florals and kid-themed picks for the girls and my little guy gets bold patterns and things like monsters, dinosaurs…
Valerie Boudier August 26, 2014 - 09:03
I love cottons, purple or turquoise and spotty fabrics
Crafty AAshley B August 26, 2014 - 09:03
I love working with cottons as I do a lot of quilting. I’m always drawn to solids but I lately I’ve been pulling more outside my comfort zone fabrics like flowers, animals, and shapes. Now putting them all together is a different matter!
Robin August 26, 2014 - 11:53
I love bright and fun prints and stripes. I love splashes of color. I love knits for drapey skirts and maxis and cotton for straighter styles that don’t need to “swish”. I don’t have a favorite brand of fabric. When I’m shopping, I buy what strikes me at the time. I hardly ever buy fabric with only one project in mind. I see it and the project then hits me. I’m kind of backwards! I don’t know if there is a theme to the things I don’t like. I guess I don’t like to work with sheer fabrics that require a lining. I’m not a fan of lining anything. I live in Phoenix, and the less layers, the better!
Jessibeth Vicenty August 26, 2014 - 16:03
I like cotton, I’m traditional lol. Right now I’m a little obsessed with geometric prints 🙂
Anya August 26, 2014 - 16:50
Love cobalt blue, kelly green, voile, not crazy about (okay, not copmfortable with–YET!) knits!
Erica August 26, 2014 - 20:44
I’ve traditionally been a cotton lover but I’m starting to have an affair with knits!
Sarah August 26, 2014 - 21:40
I love floral cottons.
Phoebe August 26, 2014 - 22:39
It is my challenge to make any “ugly” fabric look really beautiful. I believe all fabrics are beautiful, some of them just need another fabric to make them really stand out. All that said, I would choose anything in cotton .
Jillian August 27, 2014 - 00:53
I am still pretty new to sewing so I prefer cotton. I like nature-themed patterns and blues, browns, greens, and reds.
Novenka August 27, 2014 - 04:23
I love rich, printed cottons in lively colours, although I’ve also recently got into batiks!
I absolutely love rainbow prints, geometric shapes, but I can’t stand paisleys!
Cheryl August 27, 2014 - 08:09
For my daughter simple cottons – the brighter and fun the print, the better! For me, I’ve just plucked up the courage to make my first dress – I love autumnal shades of browns, and I love blues and greens (I’m a redhead so have to coordinate!).
melissa August 27, 2014 - 10:22
i love cotton, bold prints and bright colors.
Teresa W August 27, 2014 - 12:37
I am absolutely drawn to florals, and vintage prints. I love pinks, and purples, and blues. I steer clear of oranges, I think I’m creatively blocked from thinking about anything but Halloween when I look at it. 😉
liz August 27, 2014 - 14:17
I love a mix of everything. Though- for kids clothes I definitely go for color to hide stains! White doesn’t make it long in my house!
Naomi Vela August 27, 2014 - 21:04
I am a cotton girl…..I love all colours…but some of the more modern funky colours appeal to me alot even though I dont have many in my stash….I love polkadots….they cheer me up! Not into fluro colours anymore! Purple is my ultimate favourite colour…coz it’s Purty! But have no colour that I dislike.
Hugs
Naomi

corinda flemons August 29, 2014 - 00:51
Love cotton and jersey! ! Pinks rock!
Dini August 29, 2014 - 10:54
Love your patterns….love paisly, small prints and in bright colours, don’t like pastels and cotton is my favorite
Rhiannon August 29, 2014 - 18:18
I love love floral patterns at the moment; although I have only just started sewing my own clothes and think that patterns may be a project for the future when I have got a sewing machine… I hand sewed a skirt and although the hem was a tiny bit messed up, I am so proud of myself! I’m looking to make a kimono style jacket next! (when I have found the right fabric of course!)
Nesta August 29, 2014 - 19:23
I love cotton but have recently been attracted to knits too. I really like the ones with prints because at the moment here in Italy I can pratically only find solid coloured knits. (I am willing to pay shipping costs)
Lexie August 29, 2014 - 22:27
Oh fabric, how I love it all. I am attracted to blues, greens and purples. I think because I have anxiety, it relaxes me. I am in love with anything that will be cute for girls. And I like geometric for my baby boy. I am into knits b/c I now have a 4 sting serger and it is very simple to make garments. Particularly cardigans. I can never find the right one for me out on the rack, so I make my own.
