Whirlwind May 17, 2011 – Posted in: Family
There’s no other way to describe this past week, other than it’s been a total whirlwind!!
I did some sewing for orders and got them ready to mail. Friday The Hubs and I got up really early, left the girls at home with Grammy, and went to my 20 week ultrasound. We found out that these little girls…
are getting a baby SISTER!! We’re totally over the moon to have a third little girl, even though my Dad really had his hopes on a Grandson. Between my sister and I, we’ll have had 6 girls in 8 years!
Saturday I spent the day sewing for my oldest niece, Katelyn. On Sunday we celebrated her First Communion at church and had a wonderful time spending the day with family. I can’t believe she’s old enough for this!
And while we did get her a “traditional” gift (a book on the Saints), I wanted her to have something fun. School is about to end and she has to wear a uniform so I thought some new mix and match outfits for the summer would be right up her alley!!
I made simple shirred cotton skirts with matching solid tees from Old Navy.
Definitely not her khaki and navy blue school clothes!
And today The Hubs and I are celebrating our anniversary!! It’s been such a wonderful week, celebrating life events with family and reflecting on how lucky we really are.

Surprise! (For me, anyway). My family goes to the same church your niece goes to(and possibly you?). Sad that Father J. Is leaving, but excited that newly ordained Father D. Will be here. Congrats on baby girl #3 from a mother of 3 girls!:)

What a small world! It is our church, we just live about 100 miles away so we don’t go on a regular basis. 🙂 Father J baptized Sofie and we’re having Chloe baptized there in July. Father M has known my family for a long time. My parents and sisters family go there often because they live in the area. I didn’t know Father J was leaving!! We’ll be sad to see him go for sure.
