Sally Dress pattern review September 26, 2013 – Posted in: Giveaways, Pattern, Sewing
It’s been a week full of amazing reviews! And this sweet dress definitely doesn’t disappoint!
I was lucky enough to review the totally adorable Sally Dress for Very Shannon patterns. Shannon is the genius behind Luvinthemommyhood and has been someone I’ve looked up to as a blogger for years. So it’s quite an honor to be doing a Sally Dress pattern review for her!
I LOVE this dress. It sewed together beautifully, the pockets are downright amazing, and Chloe couldn’t stop dancing in it long enough to actually pose for me!
The details on the Sally Dress are amazing. The neckline is unique and it’s design requires no closures, so Chloe was able to dress herself. And lets face it, that’s a win for us both!
And the huge pockets are such a win. As soon as I stopped clicking the camera, she shoved her beloved Minnie Mouse in there and ran off to find her sisters. Minnie hung out in her pocket until I forcibly removed her from the dress to take a bath before bed. I’m telling you, it was a winner.
We’re Sally Dress lovers now. And Sofie started begging me for one of her own, so I know what I’ll be doing this weekend!
And since you made it this far, how about a giveaway?! Just leave me a comment and one of you will win a Sally Dress pattern of your very own. One entry per person, please. I’ll draw the winner on the last day of the blog tour, October 9th. Good luck, and don’t forget to stop by these blogs to check out their amazing Sally Dresses!

I LOVE the no closures idea and those big pockets are a great way for little people to learn about what pockets are for. My babies have pockets on all their clothes but don’t seem to have figured them out yet!

I went on a sewing frenzy when I was pregnant with my little girl, she is now 2 1/2yo and i haven’t made anything since..poor child! This dress has inspired me to get back on the machine, its just so cute and vintage and with summer on the way here in Australia it’s the perfect time to start making dresses!
Oh and one more thing, my little girl is SUCH a collector, think of all the things she could collect with such big pockets!
Tracy King October 10, 2013 - 22:16
