Single Welt Pocket Tutorial April 26, 2014 – Posted in: Sewing

When I started the testing process on my Oakley Shorts & Capris pattern, it quickly became clear that I needed to make some sort of further instruction for the welt pocket portion of the instructions. Most sewists haven’t created a welt pocket before and they can be slightly intimidating!

So, this is my virtual gather-round-my-machine example of how to sew a single welt pocket. The pattern pieces are not included in this video tutorial. You’ll have to buy the amazing pattern to get those!

welt pockets?! didn’t know there was such a thing, but now I have to try them. the video is really good. and I will purchase your pattern to get all of the pieces with the shorts…. thank you!
